Fernbrook Farms Environmental Education Center is seeking summer camp lead teachers for our Pollywogs Camp (ages 3-5), Fiddleheads Camp (ages 6-11), and Young Stewards Camp (ages 12-14) from June 17th - August 23rd. We offer a unique, engaging, educational, nature-based summer camp to help kids connect with nature and the varied ecosystems that are a part of our everyday world on our 230-acre working farm.
We need enthusiastic instructors to help kids explore their natural curiosities in nature and discover the wonders that can be found in our forest, pond, meadow, creek, farm, and more. Instructors are encouraged to develop and implement their own activities everyday and work both as a team and autonomously. In a given day an instructor's role could be defined as teacher, facilitator, counselor, comedic actor, naturalist, supervisor, janitor, emergency care giver, coach, or friendoften all at the same time. Instructors work five days a week, usually from 8 am to 5 pm and duties will include tasks without children that support our programs such as animal feeding, housekeeping, and other facility upkeep.
We offer competitive summer pay and a fun work environment with opportunities to be creative! If interested in working outdoors with children contact Brian Kuser, Summer Camp Director. Please call with any questions and check out our website: www.fernbrookfarms.com for more information about Fernbrook Farms' Summer Camp and other programs.
