Music Training Center of Marlton, NJ ( www.musictrainingcenter.com ) is seeking a talented, patient, passionate individual to conduct piano lessons in our modern facility located in the Marlton Crossing shopping plaza (behind Chickies & Petes). This is a year-round teaching position for Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:35pm to 9:05pm (with the possibility of additional days as the schools roster grows). Starting base pay is $26 to $30 per hour depending on degree and experience.
As a member of our faculty, you will be teaching children and adults. We teach classical foundational technique along with both classical and popular repertoire and hold four recitals each year for our students.
Our school offers the best teaching environment of any music school in the area. We are family-owned and professionally managed, and we place a strong emphasis on the quality of our music education. Our school includes a professionally appointed theater where our students perform year-round. Because of our emphasis on quality music education, we have grown by word of mouth to serve more than 350 students each week. Our school's full-time administration staff takes care of scheduling, billing, and performance logistics, leaving you free to focus on teaching.
Requirements:
College degree in music or music education with piano as the principal instrument. (Current degree candidates with formal training and in piano will be considered.)
Passion for teaching students ages 5 through adult, from beginner through college-preparatory level
Commitment to reliable attendance year-round, including availability 4 weekend days each year to host student recitals at the school
Candidate should reside within commuting distance of our Marlton, NJ facility and have reliable transportation
Compensation:
$26 to $30 per hour depending on degree and experience.
Note: MTC faculty positions are direct-payroll (W-2) employment, which provides a 7.65% tax advantage vs. self-employment or 1099 income.
Monthly Bonus: You will receive up to a 10% monthly performance bonus based on how long each of your students has remained on your schedule.
Year-End Bonus: You will receive a bonus of up to $125 per weekly full teaching day during MTC's winter break if you are in compliance with MTC's attendance policies (for example, if you teach 2 full days a week, you are eligible for a bonus of up to $250 during the winter break.)
