Area's leading custom stair & railing manufacturing seeking a skilled and detail-oriented draftsman to join our team.
Job description:
Review the scope of work with the Project Manager: analyze the proposal and determine the parameters to be followed when drafting the project, using AutoCAD, Master Cam and Solid Works software. Capable of generating accurate 2D AutoCAD plans
Prepare techincal shop drawings that align with design intention, context conditions, and manufacturing methods. Check for project restrictions within the municipality guidelines or building code mandates. Ability to read construction drawings.
Maintain communication with Project & Production Managers to ensure an approciate flow of work and accurate understanding of the products being presented in drawings. Maintain awareness of time management for drafting schedule.
Confirm unit quantities with the shop drawing match the quantity sold in the project proposal. Review drawings with Project and Production Managers prior to submission.
Communicate with architect and/or contractor regarding status until all units are approved and record set of drawings are generated and signed in order to proceed with fabrication.
