Job Title: Baker Assistant
Location: JB Bakery – Burlington City, New Jersey
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Start Time: 4:00 AM
Pay: $23 per hour to start, with occasional performance bonuses
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year, 3 personal days

Position Overview
We are seeking a strong, dependable, and reliable Baker Assistant to work directly with and learn from the Head Baker. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position suited for someone who takes pride in hard work and wants to build real baking skills in a traditional bakery environment.
This role is not suited for individuals who are uncomfortable with early mornings, physical labor, or working quickly under pressure.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Baker with daily production
Bakery bench work, including dough preparation
Assist in making:
Puff pastries
Cookies
Cakes
Cake batters and icings
Donuts
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area
Follow recipes, instructions, and production schedules precisely
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Collaborate with a team of two other bakers
Requirements
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Ability to work quickly and stay focused
Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
Attentive, organized, and detail-oriented
Willingness to learn and improve baking skills
Positive attitude and ability to work without constant supervision
Previous bakery or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required
