Cake decorating assistant for the Head Cake Decorator
Busy Landmark Bakery with many walk in customers and delivery service.
All baking done at shop
Position to fill is for assisting the Head Cake Decorator
This position requires the individual to work directly with the Head Cake Decorator.
The duties include
prepping custom Decorator birthday cakes
slicing and filling cakes
simple cake, decorations
. Cupcakes and cookies.
. Taking cake orders from customers
additional duties may include finishing and prepping gourmet cookies as well as gourmet gift cookie trays
Cleaning
answering phones
A simple understanding of cake decorating is appreciated, but not required. Training on premises. Desire for cakes and cake decorating to improve skills would be the best fit for anyone applying.
Available Shifts 3 to 5 days per week
8 am to 4 pm (flexible)
Training provided
Must be able to work on their own
Duties can be physically demanding
Quiet work area
Freezer work / stock
Knowledge and interest of baking and pasty preferred but not necessary
Kitchen work experience preferred but not necessary
Culinary education preferred but not necessary
JB Bake Shop includes the following operations
Production kitchen, mixing, oven, freezers, machinery, donuts, cake, pastry, desserts
Retail Shop Hours 7am to 7pm - Mon - Fri
Sun 7am - 7pm
