Managing current sales volume with an outlook on ideas as well as strategies to increase volume & sales.
Manage labor in the bar, by identifying sales trends and determining labor needs, as well as scheduling, hiring and firing(with bartenders, severs bar backs, etc.) Recruit, train and develop staff into their specific roles with Bourbon & Brews
Keep staff motivated, guide them in selling and self promotion as well as promoting the bar and coach in areas of weakness.
Keep peace among staff; and with staff and patrons. You yourself must have boundaries with employees, also don't add to any animosities among staff(or patrons), even if “friends' ' outside of work don't allow them to play on the friendship keep focus on your role and theirs.
Learn to budget, monitor food, liquor(costs) , help maintain the various cost sheets and POS to fully make use of the point of sale reporting functions. Help prepare liquor and beer orders.
Loss prevention. Knowing or identifying the tricks of the trade monitoring tabs, tables, etc.
Scheduled Inventory management, with beer and liquor, use the POS as your tracking following up with checking sales to reduce business loss.
Oversee the running of the bar, greet patrons make sure everyone is happy and they know your present if not. Handle customer complaints reasonably, know when someone is intoxicated and in need of being cut off, if incidents occur do an incident report.
Help execute promotions and motivate staff to do their part in selling promotions and general sales (updated materials, mentioning specials, up selling
Control waste due to overstocking (fruit/naps/straws) notify when something is needed.
Help maintain general maintenance if something is broken or not working/ in need of fixing I need to know.
Help create, publish promotions both in house and on social media (via single platform)
Help with entertainment, ideas, bookings, etc.
