-Explaining medications
-Prior authorizations
-Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers, coordinators, and management in accordance with office procedures/policies.
-Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patient's medical records and information.
FAST PACED Medical Office looking for a full time Certified Medical Assistant. The right Medical Assistant will be on their feet continuously rooming patients for up to 4 providers. They must be able to utilize an EMR to input chief complaints and medical histories. The Medical Assistant will also draw up injections the Medical Assistant must be able to call in prescriptions and outpatient testing, E-prescribe, acquire prior authorizations from insurance for medications and/or outpatient testing and complete lab forms.
This is a full time position Monday-Friday with hours as early as 7:45 AM to as late as 8:00 PM in assigned staggered shifts with other team members. These shifts change depending on provider and patient demand. The right medical assistant would need to be flexible week to week with what their schedule will be.
