Medical Assistant for a busy solo specialist practice. Front office: answering phones, making appointments, checking in/checking out patients, referrals/precerts/authorizations/copays. Knowledge of healthcare plans and processes a must. E-prescribe and EMR experience (will train on specifics). Inventory and ordering supplies.
Back office: stocking rooms, cleaning the office daily/weekly, drawing up injections, assisting patients one-on-one, past medical history discussions, updating chart info, assisting the Dr with in-room tasks. General friendliness and customer service focused. Computer knowledge a must. EMR experience a plus. Will train. Must have medical practice experience and references.
