The ideal candidate is creative, precise, and passionate about textile arts. The perfect candidate is a professional seamstress who is willing to work in sales at our Cherry Hill location. This candidate MUST be able to work one day during the week and on Sundays, if you can't work Sundays then please do not apply to this position. If you are able to work in sales you would be able to receive more jobs, our seamstresses who work in sales get the most alteration jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
Must be able to alter Prom dresses, Evening dresses and Bridal dresses
Must be able to communicate in English to our clients, Spanish is a plus for our Latino clients.
Cut, and assemble patterns according to client or project specifications.
Operate sewing machines and perform hand stitching as needed.
Experience with raffia and cotton fabrics, threads, and batting materials.
Ensure all work meets quality standards for durability and aesthetics.
Collaborate with team members or clients to develop custom designs (sleeves added to off the shoulder dresses, etc).
Manage project timelines to meet deadlines.
