About Us:
OC Awning specializes in creating custom awnings that combine functionality, durability, and style. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented seamstress to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality awnings for residential and commercial properties.
Job Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and sew awning fabrics to precise specifications.
Operate industrial sewing machines and other tools to assemble awning components.
Work with various materials, including canvas, vinyl, and other durable fabrics.
Perform quality checks to ensure seams are strong, clean, and aesthetically pleasing.
Collaborate with the design and installation teams to meet customer requirements.
Repair and modify existing awnings as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a seamstress or in a similar role, preferably with industrial or heavy-duty fabrics.
Proficiency in using industrial sewing machines.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to read and interpret patterns, blueprints, or specifications.
Physical stamina to handle large fabric pieces and work on your feet for extended periods.
Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in awning or upholstery manufacturing.
Familiarity with different types of sewing techniques for outdoor fabrics.
