Description A Tax Preparer role is looking to be filled through Robert Half by a CPA Firm located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. experience in applicants will be detail-oriented and deadline-driven with a knack for getting the job done. You will be entrusted with the preparation of simple and complex, individual and small business State and Federal tax returns, as the Tax Preparer. Be responsible for other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Tend to incoming client calls to walk through tax questions and set appointments
Interact with clients to gather needed information/documents
Conclude and invoice for form preparation fees
Manually prepare transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies
Furnish the Tax software application with appropriate data Requirements - Can work independently with minimal supervision
1+ year experience preparing tax returns
Outstanding data entry skills
Individual Tax Return experience preferred
Deep understanding of Prepare Tax Returns
Solid understanding of Tax Preparation
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred
