What you'll be doingIn this role you will be responsible for providing administrative support for those working at our Lower South Island Generation assets. Assisting with site induction processes, site visits and other site-based support as required across our Manapōuri and White Hill Generation sites!You will play a key role in a team supporting Meridian’s engagement with local communities, schools, iwi, councils, government and environmental bodies.  You’ll help identify and implement reputation and brand enhancing activities, including our community fund initiatives and sponsorship programmes.This includes accountabilities such as:Support engagement demands from our communities and landowners (organise site visits, support with public relations and community events)Provide site support, inductions, location control, phone, site access/system set upManaging site related requests from internal and external stakeholdersWorking closely with the Site Owners to support projects and maintenance administration on siteAssisting and supporting where required across Generation sites with general administrative work.Coordinate celebrations and work-related eventsSupporting with activities related to administration and distribution of Meridian’s Community Funds, including coordination of funding meetings, meeting records, funding outcomes and payments.What you’ll bringWe’re looking for a real people-person! You’ll be friendly, engaging, and really enjoy what you do. Our ideal candidate will have proven and strong administrative skills & coordination experience, and recent and relevant experience in a coordination/administration, and/or people facing role in a complex environment.You will ideally have experience in working autonomously, in an environment where the work is constantly changing.
