At our Fortune 1000 diversified energy company, you’ll find a friendly, community-minded environment, with flexible work schedules, opportunities for growth and development, and competitive pay and benefits.New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey resources is seeking a Commercial Program Lead to foster the efficient delivery of the commercial energy efficiency programs to customers and contractors.Major Responsibilities:

Manage work performed by engineering firms, contractors, and office support staff. Provide verification and documentation that program rules and procedures are followed. Oversee the processing of commercial and industrial (C&I) projects.

Perform facility site visits to collect equipment data and access program suitability.

Provide guidance on the commercial program process and serve as a resource for internal and external stakeholders related to commercial programs.

Manage assigned new C&I projects. Support the financial reporting, engineering & project payment processes.

Review, approve, and move C&I projects through the program management system.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to keep NJNG commercial programs in compliance with program rules. Advocate for NJNG positions/concerns in joint utility committees.

Support management in the preparation and review of regulatory data request and ad hoc regulatory inquiries.

Assist with forecasting and budgeting for existing and future programs.

Work closely with the Equity and Workforce Development Specialist to ensure business needs are identified and resources are utilized.

Lead the effort to improve the program management system to promote department efficiency.

Participate in national and regional associations to improve NJNG’s knowledge of commercial program approaches and technologies.

Support marketing outreach and business development for commercial energy efficiency programs.

Lead on special projects as requested.

Position Specifications:

Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.

3 to 5 years’ experience in energy efficiency programs preferred.

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Working knowledge of computer-based software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Good oral communication skills and customer service experience

Availability to work some evenings and Saturdays and occasional travel for industry conferences.

The ability to work independently.

Experience with energy use analysis software.

Knowledge of commercial construction is preferred.

AEE (Association of Energy Engineers) certification preferred.

Knowledge of utility and/or NJNG specific billing, billing analysis, energy usage and financial accounting systems (UCIS) preferred.

Ability to sell and close commercial projects preferred.

Commercial energy efficiency programs experience preferred, preferably in New Jersey.
