Review, analyze, and utilize data to set the production schedule. Design and deliver production schedules to meet make to order, make to stock, make to forecast as required based on input from IBP process.
Generate long-range raw materials forecast. Deliver requirements to Procurement to utilize in strategic conversations with vendors. Create requisitions for raw materials to meet dates needed for production. Track receipt of raw materials into the system to confirm material is on hand when needed.
Work with Procurement on any material issues; including modification of schedule, updating of master data as needed, and other process changes as needed to insure smooth execution of production plan.
Understand the inventory profile, identify slow moving inventory, and develop action plans to reduce inventory.
Support management of the IBP process - work with cross functional team members to analyze and critique the demand plan, analyze and track demonstrated capacity, and prepare and present long-range supply plans.
Create materials for weekly S&OE (Sales & Operation Execution) meetings (Power Point presentations, charts/graphs, ad hoc analysis reports). Lead meetings and ensure timely follow-up of assigned actions and concerns.
Work closely with the manufacturing team to understand the feasibility of all plans presented.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Manufacturing and Engineering teams. Ensure they understand Supply Chain requirements and are engaged, focused, and committed to delivering production plans and targets.
Maintain and ensure system data accuracy and compliance.
Work with data team to identify and reconcile data inconsistencies or gaps and to develop and maintain dashboard and visualizations.
Assist in the collation, analysis, and presentation of data as requested.
LEAN / Continuous Improvement
Support LEAN implementation in the operational area to deliver improvements in culture and measurable financial and efficiency benefits.
Employ LEAN tools such as VSM, Root Cause Problem solving etc. to deliver efficiency in Manufacturing areas.
Collaborate with other cross-function team members to identify and execute opportunities for process improvement.
Work with other members of the supply chain and management team to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Requirements for the role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business & STEM fields of study
Min of 3 years’ experience within a Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, or Project Management role
High proficiency of all Microsoft Office products (VBA, Pivots Tables, Lookups, Teams)
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and/or standalone planning software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong numerical skills
Skills in teamwork, planning, organization, problem solving, communications and the ability to learn.
Must be able to work independently
