Description If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role involves various HR duties, including recruiting, owning new permanent orientation, managing the employee handbook, and handling employee relations.What you get to do every day
Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Compare federal, state, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures
Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections
Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors
Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department Requirements - Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software
Strong understanding local, state and federal laws
Full cycle recruiting experience
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
The ideal permanent for this role is highly detail oriented; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Prior HR Generalist experience
