Burgos Group is seeking a qualified Job Cost Accountant. The successful candidate will generally be working in the office but will be expected to be highly familiar with all production operations and to regularly visit project sites.
Requirements:
• Manage data accumulation systems for the cost accounting system;
• Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems;
• Report on margins by project and division;
• Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances;
• Review project billings to contract requirements;
• Analyze capital budgeting requests;
• Perform cost accumulation tasks as a member of the target costing group;
• Will be responsible for coordinating physical inventory counts, reconciling and investigating variances.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of accounting/finance experience, or 5+ years experience in construction is preferable, but willing to consider entry level candidates with a BA/BS degree in accounting;
• Experience using Foundation accounting software;
• Excellent analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate with a multi-department team;
• Preferably have experience manipulating large databases.
