Brycon is now looking to hire a hard-working and dependable purchasing assistant to work with vendors to purchase and track material orders.
Position Overview
As the Purchasing assistant, you will work with vendors to place orders for the products and raw materials as needed. Working under the supervision of the purchasing manager, you will conduct administrative and support activities to keep the purchasing department running efficiently. You will maintain inventory and purchase records.
This role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain and update paper and computerized purchasing records. To succeed as a purchasing assistant, you should have strong organizational and time management skills and know standard purchasing practices.
Responsibilities for Purchasing Assistant
Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers
Assist with ordering material.
Ensure that orders received are accurate.
Ensure goods received are not damaged.
Handle goods throughout the purchasing process
Help track and expedite orders.
Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company.
Track packing slips and invoices
Assist with tracking warehouse inventory.
Keep accurate records of purchases made.

Rio Rancho, NM – Offsite Warehouse
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Experience, Skillset, & Educational Requirements
Proven experience working as a purchasing assistant.
Safe lifting and filing skills.
The ability to work well as part of a team or independently.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug /alcohol testing.
Reliable transportation and valid Driver's License.
