Chenega Professional & Technical Services, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services ’ company, is looking for an Administrative Specialist II to provide administrative support services to the Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) and Management and Budget (MB) within the Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Create and monitor Purchase Request (PR) number assignment, routing, coordination, preparation, work loading, and customer support utilizing requisite databases (such as STRIPES) in accordance with identified government-furnished guidelines.

Preparation of correspondence, collection of documents, and identification of required documents and specific language and creation of copies, as needed, in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request actions and legal request actions.

Records management and archival support including supporting Records Inventory Disposition Schedule (RIDS) activities such as conduct of inventories, preparation of documentation, preparation and packaging instruments to be shipped to the Federal Records Center (FRC) and preparation and coordination of records destruction. All records management work will be processed in accordance with DOE Directives O 243.1 and 243.2, U.S. Code 44, and 36 Code of Federal Regulations.

Order and maintain office supply inventories.

Process and coordinate OAM facility and equipment service requests.

Conduct inventories of OAM property on an as-needed basis.

Provide daily mail support and distribution, which includes packaging and mailing of boxes by FedEx or certified mail.

Provide other miscellaneous non-personnel office administrative support as needed within the terms of the contract, as approved by the COR.

Update and maintain the OAM Self-Help Guide; not to include the OAM intranet page.

Qualifications

Must be able to report onsite to the clients Albuquerque, New Mexico office.

Minimum of a High School diploma.

Minimum of 3 years of experience specializing in administrative support activities.

A Bachelor’s Degree can be substituted for 2 years of experience combined with 1 year of on-the-job experience.

An additional Federal/NNSA background investigation will need to be completed.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange/Outlook Mail, Internet Explorer.

Ability to work independently and part of a team.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills

Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an ATS facility; (NOTE: An employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position, since he/she has been performing the higher-graded work); OR 3. Must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility (see NOTE above). In addition to the qualifications listed above, the chart on MSS positions will be used to determine which career level applicants are qualified to make application.
