We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience with charbroil and sauté. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our scratch kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in menu planning, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service and presentation of meals.
Uphold high standards of quality and presentation for all dishes served.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Line Cook with the grill and sauté stations and/or other kitchen roles within the food industry.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal preparation.
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced scratch kitchen environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
