Prickly Foods started with a reconnection of two friends, trying to make products using Southwest native plants and culturally relevant ingredients to Indigenous communities in our region. Our motto is “good food, many people” a simple line to guide us in creating products that are delicious, refreshing, and accessible to all kinds of eaters.
Our main products are our two flavors of bottle prickly pear lemonade; lavender and sumac and our prickly pear syrup. We’ve been in business for 3 years and sell our products at two local farmers markets, and a number of retail stores in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
Responsibilities
- Assist production lead in juicing, mixing, bottling and labeling our products
- Follow all food safety procedures as set out in our food safety plan
- Transport finished products to and from processing facility
Qualifications
- Must have up to date NM food handlers certification
- Working vehicle and valid drivers license
- Ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs
- Experience in restaurant or commercial kitchens
