Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, a solid understanding of heavy equipment systems, and a commitment to maintaining equipment in optimal working conditions. As a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of heavy equipment and diesel engines to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Perform repairs and replacements on engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and other critical components.
Preventive Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication. Adhere to scheduled maintenance programs to prevent equipment failures and prolong lifespan.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used. Complete work orders and ensure all documentation meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and expertise to other team members and assist in troubleshooting complex issues. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role. Experience with John Deere, Bobcat, Caterpillar and International motors is preferred.
Skills:
o Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment.
o Strong understanding of hydraulic systems
o Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Good communication and teamwork skills.
Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and tools, and work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor settings.
