Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to lead our construction team and ensure the successful execution of projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction management, and a commitment to quality control. As a Foreman, you will oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and safely while adhering to project specifications.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project.
Manage project schedules, resources, and materials to meet deadlines.
Conduct regular inspections of work sites to monitor progress and address any issues.
Collaborate with project managers/engineers, inspectors, and owners to review contracts and project plans.
Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, crew timesheets, expense reports safety meetings and materials used.
Skills
Familiar with Polymer and Urethane products for bridge work deck sealers.
Proven experience in quality control processes and standards within the construction industry for multi overlays, crack injection, carbon fiber, and joint seals.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing contracts and project documentation.
Effective communication skills for liaising with inspectors, owners, project managers/ engineers, and crew team members.
Ability to problem-solve effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive work environment.
Basic mechanical skills and familiar with shot-blasters, manlifts, skid steers, pull trailers, walk behind saw and groovers.
Commercial driver license is preferred.
