Big Brothers Big Sisters Donation Center is seeking a Full Time driver in the Albuquerque area who is responsible for the safe operation of our Chevy 3500 Pickup Truck pulling a 12 foot open trailer. We use this vehicle and trailer to pick up items left outside our donation bins and for general cargo transport. The driver is expected to demonstrate the highest level of safety, professionalism and customer service when interacting with coworkers and the public.
Must have a valid NM driver's license, clear MVD record and proof of insurance. Must be at least 21 years old. You do not need a CDL for this position.
Drivers typically work four shifts a week, with an average of 8 to 11 hours per shift. Driving shifts start at 5am. The office is open 7-days a week. Must have weekend availability!
Must be able to lift and carry objects of various sizes and shapes, lift up to 1-50 pounds frequently and occasionally larger items. This is a very physical job.
Pre-employment requires a criminal background check and a DOT-drug screen and physical.
Any Felony or Misdemeanor within the last ten years will disqualify a candidate from being hired.
Previous experience using a pickup truck pulling a trailer is preferred.
Starting pay is $11.40 per hour with Benefits. Eligible for a raise to $12 per hour after 90 days.
