Greens Keeper
(Part-time and Full-time positions available)
Definition:
The Greens Keeper performs routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance; This includes the operation of hand tools, small hand powered equipment, and light motorized equipment as necessary.
Typical functions:
The Greens Keeper:
Operates mowers and string trimmers in the maintenance of putting greens, tee’s and fence lines; Rakes and maintains sand bunkers; Maintains water coolers and empties trash receptacles.
Performs regular maintenance of annual planting beds.
Maintains fuel levels for all types of equipment daily; reports equipment problems to the equipment manager.
Assists in the repair and maintenance of greens and fairways; grades and prepares soil base and installs new sod.
Excavates and back fills holes and trenches with hand tools as needed in the repair of irrigation components.
Performs other golf course maintenance related duties as directed by their supervisor.
Employment standards:
Requires knowledge of methods and materials used in landscape maintenance work;
Requires physical strength (lifting over 75 lbs), stamina and agility.
Requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
