Job Summary: Piru Group, a dynamic and diverse real estate investment, development, and construction firm, is seeking a highly meticulous and persuasive RFP & Grant Compliance Specialist. This critical role is responsible for the end-to-end management, writing, and submission of proposals for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and various grant opportunities within the government, non-profit, and private sectors.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational, analytical, and technical writing skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex requirements and synthesize diverse information into clear, compliant, and compelling narratives. Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Management (50%):
Thoroughly analyze RFPs, RFQs, and grant solicitations to identify all requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission instructions.
Develop comprehensive proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and detailed project timelines.
Lead and manage the proposal development process, coordinating inputs from internal subject matter experts (e.g., project managers, financial officers, legal counsel, executives) across Piru Group's entities (Piru Manors, Builders Tech NM, EcoMod Ventures, Build4Kidz Foundation).
Ensure all proposal components are fully compliant with solicitation guidelines, including formatting, content, attachments, and submission protocols.
Manage document version control, proofreading, and quality assurance for all submitted materials.
Oversee final packaging and timely submission of all proposals, often through online portals or physical delivery.
Technical Writing & Content Development (40%):
Write and edit clear, concise, and persuasive narrative content for proposals, tailored to specific evaluation criteria.
Translate complex technical, construction, development, and financial information into easily understandable and compelling language for diverse audiences.
Develop boilerplate content, case studies, and past performance descriptions for various services (e.g., modular housing, property management, general contracting, non-profit initiatives).
Maintain a content library of frequently used proposal elements, ensuring accuracy and consistent messaging.
Research & Compliance (10%):
Stay informed on upcoming government solicitations, grant opportunities, and relevant regulatory changes.
Conduct research to support proposal development, including market data, best practices, and competitive analysis.
Ensure all submissions adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a related field.
3-5+ years of experience in a role demanding meticulous document management, precise writing, and strict adherence to complex instructions and deadlines.
Demonstrable experience in one of the following fields, with a focus on structured document creation and compliance:
Paralegal or Legal Assistant: Proven ability to interpret legal documents, manage extensive documentation, and meet judicial deadlines.
Technical Writer: Experience translating complex information into clear, organized, and user-friendly documentation.
Proposal Manager/Coordinator (Commercial Sector): Experience managing and writing responses to RFPs/RFQs in other industries (e.g., IT, engineering, consulting).
University Research/Grant Administrator: Experience supporting faculty in preparing and submitting research grant applications to federal or institutional bodies.
Policy Analyst: Experience in writing comprehensive reports, policy briefs, or legislative analyses that require precise language and evidence-based arguments.
Exceptional reading comprehension and analytical skills to dissect and interpret complex solicitation documents.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an unwavering commitment to grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with online submission portals.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with government contracting processes (federal, state, and local).
Experience with CRM or proposal management software.
