SERVICE WRITER/ PARTS PERSON/ OFFICE HELP

High Desert Auto Repair is a very busy, Locally Owned and Operated Automotive Repair Shop in Albuquerque, NM.

We are hiring for Service Writer/ Parts Person/ Office Help. We are looking to fill this open position immediately. This position will be very heavy on Customer Service, Phone Answering, Scheduling Appointments, Estimate Writing, and will require some schedule flexibility, as well as the ability to effectively multi-task.

Service Writer Requirements & Responsibilities:

▪ 10+ Years Customer Service Experience Preferred,

▪ Must be available to work 40 hours per week,

▪ Must be able to answer multiple phone lines, send and receive text messages within our invoicing software (you will be trained in this if you are unfamiliar),

▪ Experience with automotive repair invoicing & estimating software preferred,

▪ Experience with Excel, Word, online parts and supplies ordering preferred,

▪ Cash handling experience preferred,

▪ Must be willing and able to follow our company policies and procedures, which are geared heavily toward ensuring that we provide a very high level of customer service, as well as making sure our technicians have everything they need to succeed in meeting customer and management expectations,

▪ Must be able to maintain professionalism during stressful events,

▪ Must be able to write complete repair estimates once trained on our systems and invoicing software,

▪ Must be able to explain recommended repairs and breakdown of estimates to customers,

▪ Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technicians, customers, vendors, etc in order to assist management in keeping work flow moving smoothly, while maintaining excellent customer service,

▪ Must be willing and able to assist Management in maintaining proper levels of inventory, and will be expected to stock and keep inventory organized as instructed,

▪ Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs,

▪ Must work well with others and must be willing to accept constructive criticism when necessary,

▪ Will be required to keep office and parts/ stock rooms clean and organized,

▪ Must be able to show up to work on time, ready to work, and will be expected to maintain a professional appearance, to include wearing a High Desert Auto Repair uniform,

▪ Applicant will be required to complete other tasks as needed.

Suitable applicant will have their own mode of transportation, will pass a background check, and will be ready and willing to learn new tasks.

Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.
