Small Uptown Family Law firm seeks an experienced, full-time Paralegal for immediate hire. We are looking for an organized, focused team player with a great personality and excellent communication skills. A sense of humor is a plus! The ideal candidate will have previously worked with Family Law attorneys, or in a Family Law firm.
Requirements:
-Experience in self-directed drafting of letters, motions, orders and domestic matters pleadings. Ability to independently identify, calculate, and meet court rule deadlines.
-Familiarity and comfort with analyzing and reviewing financial documents and a command of the discovery process as well as the preparation and assessment of interim allocation documents.
-Able to assist attorneys in preparing for motion hearings and trials, including but not limited to preparing trial notebooks, identifying and preparing exhibits, and communicating with the Court and opposing counsel.
-Comfortable communicating with clients via email and phone to provide assistance in a compassionate but direct fashion.
-Complete fluency in electronically filing and serving pleadings via Odyssey. Solid knowledge of WORD, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with Zoom, Skype, Google Meets, and other virtual platforms.
