Production Operator/ Manufacturing Sandblasting
Contract-to-Permanent Hire
Job Duties:
Operates blasting equipment to clean and prepare the surface of materials and components in a manufacturing environment. Prepares and masks parts with fixtures, rubber, tape, antibond or metal masks prior to coating. Sets up and operates various types of manual and/or automated systems to sandblast parts. Specific duties day-to-day include:
Sandblast targets / parts with compressed air and grit / sand within a glovebox to clean parts.
Wear protective equipment (Eyeglasses, earplugs, safety shoes, gloves)
Lift 25-40 pounds
Monitor and operate equipment based on process requirements.
Hands-on type of work using tools
Maintain clean workstations
Maintain general maintenance on equipment
Targets may be moved by hand with lifting devices.
Skills and Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in a production environment
Mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail
Proficient with hand and power tools
Safety and efficiency aptitude
Proficient with calipers
Basic math skills
Lifting 25-40 pounds
Work Schedule:Monday-Friday,8am-5pm
Anticipated Pay:$19 - $20/hr.
Location: SE Albuquerque
