Position Summary
The MDL will work closely with the Regional Development Leader to execute distribution, merchandising, and promotion priorities against targeted goals and align with specific customer expectations. The MDL will be the liaison KSC, its Independent Operators (IOs), and stores. The MDL is an integral part of the team and is responsible for stellar customer service. The MDL is accountable for establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with IOs, retail store management, and customer decision-makers.
Essential Job Functions
Help to ensure that service levels meet or exceed customer expectations.
Sell incremental placements, point of sale, and displays throughout the store.
Perform store required resets.
Develop strong relationships across multiple levels of retail store personnel.
Establish, and maintain, call frequency on primary retail chain supervisors to support sales and service levels.
Collaborate across the organization to deliver results.
Regularly engage with IOs, including optional route consults, to identify and discuss business growth and opportunities.
Lead route engineering within assigned market
Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting
Report on the market and individual performance
Develop and execute innovative sales strategies
Build and form new partnerships with potential clients
Build rapport and trust with all store key management personnel through frequent visits and communication
Prepare tailored selling plan with in-depth knowledge of the specific retail customer and full product portfolio to influence
growth opportunities
Execute distribution, merchandising, and promotion priorities
Collaborate with the Customer Development team on selling objectives and market development
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
High School Diploma/ GED preferred but not required.
Years of relevant experience: 1-3
Strong written and verbal communication
Problem-solving skills
Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related field
Experience as a supervisor or manager
Strong leadership qualities
Ability to build rapport with clients
Spanish fluency beneficial
