Estimator
Job Type: Full-time hours; contract-to-permanent position, and our client can hire permanent anytime after 120 days.
Pay: Based on Qualifications, $18.00 (37,500.00 annual) - $38.46 (80,000.00 annual)
Work Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
Work Location: Albuquerque, In-person position.
Scope of Work:
It is the responsibility of an Estimator to source possible projects and produce accurate proposals.
Duties:
Read, interpret and understand RFQ documents provided by clients and/or sales team.
Determine primary work scope of project.
Submit questions for clarification as required.
Determine specialty services requiring subcontractors.
Compile all information to produce a cost estimate.
Review estimate with the Estimating Manager.
Develop final proposal documents.
Essential Functions:
Previous Field Experience in this industry, preferably electrical
Capable of reading Blueprints/Drawings
Basic Understanding of Cost and Price Development
General Understanding of Building Materials
Possess Attention to Detail
Takes direction as required from Senior Estimators
Willing to do what it takes to provide accurate estimates in a timely manner
Desired Skills:
Proficiency with computer in Office Suite
Understanding of Spreadsheet development and use
Hard working team player that can work independently as well
Honesty, Integrity, and Accountability
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Average Math Skills
Previous construction experience a plus.
