Job Description
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. The candidate will be detail-oriented and adept at communicating with a range of audiences. Additionally, this person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth.
Objectives of this role
Develop, implement, and maintain analytics systems
Identify trends and opportunities for improvements in program efficiencies or support through analysis of datasets
Create best-practice reports with pertinent data visualizations, based on mining and analysis of data received
Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
Work directly with users to gather requirements, provide status updates, provide customer service support, and build relationships
Onboard new users to analytic systems and in-house data products.
Responsibilities
Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
Proactively analyze data to answer key stakeholder questions, including investigating which areas need programmatic improvement and making recommendations.
Identify the data for retrieval and create specialized reports using that data.
Develop and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis
Develop and maintain databases and improve data evaluation process to more efficient and scalable across datasets
Provide innovative suggestions on improving data collection methods and standardizing data input.
Develop user guides and training materials for the analytics systems and participate in user training program.
Provide customer service support and provide recommendations for improving the user interface and experience.
Participate in cross-functional teams and working groups as part of stakeholder engagement.
Required skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics
Three or more years of experience mining data as a data analyst
Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization
Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple and shifting priorities
Experience in delivering high-quality products of both quantitative and qualitative nature for a range of audiences
Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Excellent customer service experience
Superior attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred skills and qualifications
Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
Strong programming experience with frameworks, including XML, JavaScript, and ETL
Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages
