Job Summary:
The Cosmetologist performs professional cuts, styles, chemicals services and therapeutic hair and scalp treatments. They must possess and maintain knowledge of current hairstyles and trends. They must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation sills and be willing to train in our spas specific hair and scalp service offerings (IF APPLICABLE). They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and services knowledge necessary to effectively provide beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guest. They must hold and maintain a current state license.
The Esthetician will perform skin, body and hair removal treatments. The Esthetician will consult with clients to assess their requirements, make informed recommendations and explain services, assist them to select appropriate treatments, and ensure their care and satisfaction. The Esthetician will ensure treatments start and end on time. You will maintain knowledge to promote and sell services and retail products. To ensure success you should meet revenue goals, ensure client retention and build a solid client base. Ideal candidates will be empathetic, caring and professional, and have the ability to make others feel good about themselves.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
Provide consistent professional hair treatments in accordance with the spa protocols and accepted verification practices. Must educate self to sell products.
Must attend 8 hours of continuing education
Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa
Promptly care for equipment and use proper amounts to assist with cost controls
Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
Actively promote hair care programs, meeting minimum sales goals
Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spas policies and procedures.
Preform prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required
Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests at the spa that require attention. Must attend spa meetings
Actively promote the spa treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
Handle guest questions and concerns professionally and courteously
Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests in the spa that require attention.
Possess the ability to work without direct supervision
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
Assist in all areas of spa operations as requested by management
Must attend all monthly meetings and deemed necessary educational training
Helps keep all common and non-areas including service rooms clean at all times help with laundry and opening and closing procedures. Must attend spa meetings.

Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge
Must be a team player
Education and Experience Requirements:
Must hold and maintain a Current State Cosmetology/Esthetician license
Minimum of 1 year experience or training
650+ Hours from an approved school
