Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Field Mechanic to join our team. As a Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment and compact equipment used in construction and other industries. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical systems and equipment, along with a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on various types of heavy equipment, compact equipment, light diesel pickups, etc.
Diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions in a timely manner
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
Safely operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools
Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a mechanic, preferably in a field service role
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, and equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship
Self starting attitude and ability to work solo
