Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, alter, and repair sheet metal products and equipment (e.g., ducts and hoods for HVAC systems), utilizing blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Plan and coordinate tasks and the amount of material required for the performance of work
Prepare and implement equipment based on need, including, but not limited to, power saws, drill presses, hand, and power shears, pan and box brakes, lock formers, cleat benders, and rollers to cut, punch, thread, and form sheet metal
Coordinate and assemble ducts, hoods, and other sheet metal products. Tasks include, but are not limited to, soldering and bolting connections, applying insulation as required, and inspecting assemblies and installation for conformance with specifications
Quality Assurance – operational checks of ducts and other sheet metal installations to determine the quality and any necessary corrective action that may need to be taken
Provide direction and technical guidance to less experienced workers
Other job duties as assigned
Employees may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays. Employees will be compensated based on guidelines in the Fair Labor Standards Act. Act
Qualifications and Requirements
Valid Journeyman license required
High school diploma or equivalent desired
This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug /alcohol testing
OSHA 10 certification preferred
A valid driver’s record preferred
