Dogland has just recently moved and expanded, and we're ready for more team members! Professional Dog Groomer:
Previous professional grooming experience REQUIRED. Demo clip may be required. Bathe, dry, and clip dogs - mostly "easy" clips of the same length all over, and a few breed clips here and there. Many grooming dogs are current playgroup dogs, so they are very used to grooming and great for the process. Two other groomers are here currently; must be able to coexist with others. Space is large and all shampoos/conditioners supplied. Own tools required.
Pay is 50% commission, plus tips (and our clients do tip quite well). Days and hours are flexible, but we are open Monday-Saturday, and we can decide together what days you'd like to work. Sundays and all major holidays off.
Daycare ("playgroup") staff:
Manage dogs' play, inside, with big dogs or little dogs (we'll see where you fit best), including puppies. Training provided, but previous dog experience is preferred.
$14/hour to start, days vary Monday-Friday, hours are flexible but we typically do full days of 7am to 6pm with a lunch, or a half day. All weekends and major holidays off. Must be able to comfortably lift 40lbs, and keep up with dogs in general.
Outsider (dog exercising) staff:
Engage with dogs outside, in four different exercise spaces, playing fetch, doing recalls for treats, using the obstacle yard, etc.
$14/hour to start, days vary Tuesday-Friday, 7am to around 2pm or 3pm. All weekends and major holidays off. Must be able to comfortably lift 40lbs, and keep up with dogs in general.
Volunteer staff:
Looking for a dog job, but no experience yet? Ask about volunteering with us! Volunteer gigs can be for outsider or playgroups, and may be temporary or transition to a paying position if it works out for both parties. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age (with parental permission), or 18+. Days and hours are super flexible for volunteer positions.
