Foundation repair is a unique market niche within the construction industry, and we help customers just looking for a minor repair up to large commercial projects on historic buildings.
We are looking for an experienced shop/field mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, repair, and fabrication of trucks, heavy and small mobile equipment, including plant processing equipment.
We maintain a safe, drug-free workplace. Upon offer of employment, all prospective candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION.
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment; report to work on time as scheduled.
Conducts major repairs to all types of equipment as required to ensure proper working condition (dismantle/reassemble/rebuild equipment, fabricate parts and equipment).
Perform fabrication/welding and repair to processing and mobile equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and minimize down time.
Perform annual inspections, evaluations, and repairs.
Maintain an accurate schedule and record of all equipment along with vehicle maintenance logs and reports.
Perform duties in both a shop and field environment.
Skills/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English).
Basic computer skills. (Open Excel files and use Outlook for email).
Must be safety oriented and exhibit safe work habits at all times.
Punctual and reliable. Excellent attendance required.
Minimum 5+ years of heavy equipment and/or on-highway truck maintenance experience or related field that showcases skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Technical training may be a substitute for some experience requirement.
Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions or in shop.
Most hours will be in the shop but will need to perform onsite repairs from time to time.
Able to lift 75 pounds.
Willing to work overtime.
Able to work from elevated platforms or confined spaces.
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical/drug/alcohol test.
Prefer you supply and use your own good working set of mechanics tools.
