Job Summary:
We are seeking 2-3 reliable and dedicated Dispatchers to join our team. As a Dispatcher at Newman’s Dedicated Delivery, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the delivery of lost luggage to passengers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of direction, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with a calm demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up luggage from partner airlines and transport it to our office for processing.
- Coordinate and create efficient delivery routes for drivers.
- Communicate with passengers via phone to arrange delivery times and locations.
- Manage the loading of luggage into delivery vehicles and ensure timely dispatch.
- Handle customer interactions with professionalism, especially when dealing with upset or frustrated passengers.
- Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Excellent multitasking abilities.
- Good sense of direction and familiarity with local routes.
- Experience in dispatching or logistics is a plus but not required.
Work Schedule:
- 30-40 hours per week
- Availability on holidays and weekends is required
