This is a driving position and candidate will be expected to drive a medium duty box truck, manage hazardous waste, and transport hazardous waste. Candidate will be handling waste containers and working one on one with customer. CDL Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required. Candidate must have good people skills and the ability to work independently. Candidate will also be responsible for inventory and ordering supplies.
Company is a small family-owned hazardous waste business, based in Rio Rancho. We have a stellar quality and service reputation. Our goal is to provide excellent personal and professional service to our clients. Our routes range from local to state wide pickups, with no overnight stays.
This is an hourly position with flexible hours. Typically working 3-4 days one week and off the next (Some off week work occasionally). There are commission opportunities available as well.
Requirements:
DOT Hazardous material endorsement preferred but not required. Must be able to pass DOT physical, & back ground check
Understanding DOT regulation and safety knowledge is a plus, but not required.
Must have clean driving record & able to pass initial/random drug tests.
Customer service skills are a must!
Physical requirements require tech to move large drums and lift up to 40 to 60 Lbs.
Documentation skills and attention to detail skills are required.
Must understand routing and able to navigate to multiple locations.
Must be able to operate lift gate on box truck.
Responsibilities: The Environmental Technician will be responsible for transporting waste product from multiple customers and delivering them to our disposal facility. Waste will be sealed prior to pick up. Technician will also be responsible for manifesting, labeling, and shipping materials to disposal facility. Good customer service skills are required to maintain customer relations.
