We are a full-service distributor of golf cars throughout New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. We are currently looking to hire drivers for the 2019 season. The position is seasonal/part time, starting April and going through October. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, and deliveries usually start around 8am and go until the day's deliveries are complete. Hours and days may vary depending on the delivery schedule.
Some of the essential responsibilities of our drivers are:
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the trucks and trailers, (i.e. washing, trash, Maintenance).
- Loading and unloading of golf cars onto and off trailers to be delivered under the direction of your supervisor.
- Responsible for delivering and or picking up golf cars safely.
- Responsible for monitoring and recording golf car movement in and out of the facility.
- Applicant will be required to pass a forklift certification test (We will train you).
- Ability to lift 75+ Lbs.
- Keeping accurate driving logs.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently under the direction of their supervisor and complete all tasks in a timely manner. Previous truck and trailer experience is strongly preferred, as you will be pulling trailers from 8 feet to 45 feet long. You will need to have good communication skills as interaction with customers occurs on a daily basis. You must be able to read, write and speak English and hold a current New Mexico driver's license, have a clean MVD Record, pass a DOT physical, and be at least 18 years of age.
The position starts at $12-$13.50 per hour, based on experience.
