The Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment and systems in our Ethanol manufacturing plant. This role requires a strong understanding of both mechanical and some electrical systems, with a focus on ensuring safety standards and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Machinery Maintenance
· Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment such as mixers, conveyors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers and boiler equipment.
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues to minimize production downtime.
· Maintain critical facility infrastructure components such as air handling units, cooling towers, boilers and air compressors.
· Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning to support company growth.
· Monitor and improve equipment performance to ensure consistent product quality and output.
- Accomplish special projects (demolition, product loading and offloading) and keep the property clean, use of mobile equipment – forklift
Electrical Maintenance (Optional)
· Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including motors, wiring, PLCs, sensors, VFD’s and control panels.
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and equipment manuals.
· Troubleshoot equipment using built in diagnostic systems.
Operational Support
· Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize disruption to production schedules.
· Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve recurring equipment issues
· Document all maintenance activities in accordance with company protocols.
Safety and Compliance
· Follow all safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment during maintenance activities.
· Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
· 2-4 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment; experience in food manufacturing is a strong plus.
· Familiarity with power plant operations.
Skills and Knowledge
· Proficiency in mechanical systems, including mobile equipment, pneumatics, process pumps and valves.
· Understanding of electrical systems is a plus, including PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, and safety circuits.
· Read and interpret schematics, and technical documentation.

Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in varying temperatures (hot/cold).
· Comfortable standing, climbing ladders, crouching, or kneeling for extended periods.
- Day schedule (8-10 hours 5 days) during plant construction and multi shift schedule (4 on 4 off – 12 hours shift) once the plant is operational.
