This position requires a background in cyber risk management practices and data analytics along with solid communication and organization skills. The ideal candidate is very motivated and willing to take on challenges, able to multi-task to succeed and has the ability work independently and with minimal oversight. The candidate should also have demonstrated experience with data protection controls, end user behavioral analysis and significant experience analyzing and managing large sets of technical data. The Data Protection Analyst will report into the Head of Digital Risk Management & Compliance and assist with implementing technologies, processes and controls to monitor, detect and block computer misuse, violations of policy, misappropriation of Otis data and other anomalous behavior of employees and trusted partners. The program is also responsible for developing robust policies and practices to protect sensitive Otis information and leading efforts to identify an classify Otis information and implement mitigating risk controls commensurate with its business value.Major Responsibilities

Assist with the development, implementation and governance of data classification controls for protecting confidential data across both structured and unstructured systems and applications.

Assist with assessing applications for security and privacy risks, and assigning risk-based ranking

Partner with risk and security subject matter experts to understand end user behavior and usage patterns, developing risk based, statistical modeling profiles of anomalous activity.

Create and deliver standard datasets, reporting and ad hoc queries to analyze network traffic and identify unauthorized data movement based on the content and context

Analyze data to discern lessons learned and action items in order to improve security controls and risk posture; partner with the appropriate teams to help them understand how the data can drive improvements

Recommend minimum data controls and standards to ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of Otis data and information.

Develop program dashboards and metrics to provide Senior Management with a holistic view of Insider Threat posture, Data Protection capabilities, Key Risk Indicators and threat exposure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline

3-5 years or more of recent data analyst experience for a global company, preferably in the financial sector and/or supporting IT Risk or Information Security initiatives

Prior experience with Insider Threat, Data Protection or Information Security highly preferred

CISSP, CCITP or other Industry recognized Information Security or Insider Threat certification highly preferable

Some SQL server experience, the ability to own and maintain SQL databases and highly complex Excel spreadsheets, connectors, feeds and API’s from systems that provide user activity data

Experience with data visualization concepts and tools

Experience with the STRIDE and DREAD methodologies

Prior experience with the ForcePoint, cloud based CASB’s or another Insider Threat tool

Experience with Archer, ServiceNow, DEVO or Microsoft Intune also preferable

Ability to work individually, as part of a team and matrix-manage other staff depending on the initiative

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong presentation skills; ability to adjust message and filter details based on audience (e.g. technical, business, management)

PMP Certification or experience participating in cross-functional technical projects
