Job Title: Dental Office Receptionist

Pay $30,000-42,000 annual starting depending on experience

Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our dental practice as a Receptionist. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, setting the tone for a positive and welcoming experience. Your duties will involve managing office communications, scheduling appointments, and assisting with patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet Patients: Welcome patients to the office and provide a warm and professional atmosphere. Answer any initial questions and ensure they feel comfortable.

2. Appointment Scheduling: Manage the dental office's schedule, including booking, rescheduling, and confirming appointments. Maximize the efficiency of the appointment schedule.

3. Phone and Email Communication: Handle incoming calls and emails, respond to inquiries, take messages, and transfer calls as necessary. Provide information about dental services and basic pre-appointment instructions.

4. Patient Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Input new patient information into the system and update existing records as needed.

5. Billing and Payment Processing: Handle billing inquiries, process payments, and provide receipts. Coordinate with insurance companies for claim processing and verification.

6. Office Administration: Assist in managing office supplies and inventory. Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming.

7. Patient Coordination: Facilitate patient flow by notifying the staff of patients' arrivals or delays. Assist patients in filling out necessary forms and documentation.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Office Management is a plus.

- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dental office software.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is advantageous.
