Physical Science Laboratory is looking for a Facilities Technician to join our team.
Classification Summary
Performs a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. May be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and/or locksmith.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Installation and maintenance repairs. Assists with maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Performs carpentry maintenance jobs such as interior and exterior painting, texturing, window and door installations and repairs of cabinets and furniture. Assist with replacing of lights, fixtures, switches, outlets, photo cells, tubes, contactors and motor control knowledge. Erection of new walls and demolition of walls, tape texture and paint. Roofing repair and maintenance. Monitor ventilation of heating and cooling systems. Will repair or replace parts as needed.

Must be a U.S. Citizen This position is subject to random drug testing in compliance with its drug-free workforce requirements This position has been established as a primary key position under the “All Hazard Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)” and is essential to operational continuity and/or recovery. In an emergency situation, primary key positions are required to report to work unless directed by supervisor or public safety authorities not to report for health and safety reasons.
