Catholic Charities of Southern New Mexico
Catholic Charities is seeking an experienced Grant Writer who is passionate about caring for the poor and less fortunate in southern New Mexico. The grant writer will create coherent, organized and compelling fundraising proposals targeting private, family and corporate foundations, government funding entities, corporations, and individual donors.
To ensure success you need to write well, have proficient knowledge of fundraising methods and be committed to Catholic Charities’ mission of alleviating poverty, addressing societal inequality, and advocating for human rights and social justice. Preferred applicants have experience working in a fast-paced office setting, are deadline-driven, work collaboratively with others, and possess outstanding time management and multi-tasking skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Media, Political Science or related field
Minimum of 1-year experience in grant writing, prospect research, general fundraising or a minimum of 2 years comparable and transferable skills acquired in a professional setting
Fluency in English and Spanish highly desirable.
This position has committed funding for one full year, with a potential to turn into a permanent position.
