Description Robert Half is working with a client in Rio Rancho and we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Rio Rancho. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors and suppliers, maintaining financial records, and supporting various accounting functions within the company.Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
Verify invoice details, including prices, quantities, and terms
Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain vendor files and update records as needed
Assist with month-end closing processes and financial reporting
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
Previous experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus
