Description Robert Half is looking for a talented Senior Accountant for a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Ad-hoc projects as required
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) Requirements - Financial reporting systems proficiency
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
ERP system experience
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
Adeptness in Monthly Account Reconciliation
Knowledge of general ledger
Microsoft Excel experience
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings
Solid understanding of Deltek Costpoint
Account reconciliation experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
