Seeking a nature-based early childhood educator to join our small team serving children ages 2-4 in a predominantly outdoor setting. Indoor classrooms are available for inclement weather, naps, etc.
Teachers oversees the daily activities of groups of approximately 5 children (group size varying with children’s ages), in concert with other groups in a shared indoor and outdoor spaces. The position includes curriculum development, preparation of materials and activities, implementation of safe education protocols, cleaning and maintenance of the space, facilitating the physical and social-emotional needs of the children on site, communicating with parents/caretakers daily, and maintaining a safe environment both physically and socially-emotionally for all students. The Teacher demonstrates appreciation for children, professional communication, group management skills, vibrant energy, empowering leadership, and values environmental education and community building.
