GO Sport! Summer Kids club
seeks two uniquely mature and skillful highschool/college students to implement programming for children this summer (end june - mid august) as "Leads" with children ages 5-11 years, focused on Athletic conditioning, skills and games.
Salary DOE. Junior Lead ranges $15-18 / hour, paid weekly
Senior Lead ranges $28-32/hour paid weekly
This children's program will focus on Athletic Skills and games. There will also be some simple arts and crafts projects (provided by program director) and snack/lunch for down time, using the shelters and tree-shade at Ragle park.
This is also an opportunity to gain skills and knowledge under the mentorship of the Director regarding creative children's programming.
Program Director is Keren Abrams who will work with the two Leads to design a daily and weekly schedule of activities for up to 12 children. Keren will be on site or nearby each day of the program.
A great candidate will example proficiency in:
- taking initiative and being responsible
- high level communication skills
- caring for children with respect and proper boundaries, in balance
- encouraging children to learn with patience and appropriate expectations
- supporting children to be safe AND have fun
- Athletic skills such as: stretch/yoga, ball games, track and field style activity, soccer, sprint racing, etc.
- Accountability and honesty
