Tesuque Village Market seeks reliable cashier-hosts for full or part time employment, AM and PM shifts available. Applicants must be over 21 as we operate a package liquor store on the premises. Liquor and food knowledge a huge plus. Experience is not required but applicants with retail and restaurant experience will be preferred. For the right person, this position can grow into a server position or become a mixed position in the restaurant. Applicants must be able to provide references.
About the positions:
Cashier duties include running the cash register, handling cash, running the to-go coffee station, taking to-go orders, helping seat guests in the restaurant, stocking items in the store, helping receive products from distributors, giving people directions (usually to the bathroom but sometimes to the casino or the flea market), and generally being the first person any given guest will see and talk to upon entering the business. Because we are open from 9am-9pm every day, this position will include somewhat early mornings but almost never any late nights.
To-Go Expo duties include helping the cashier handle the large volume of to go orders (which has seen a huge spike since the pandemic began), running the register if the cashier is absent, helping seat guests, and other duties similar to the cashier position. This position offers relatively short shifts (5PM-8 or 9PM, 11AM-3 or 4PM on the weekend), so it may be ideal as a part time supplement to another job.

Our full bar offers high-quality, from-scratch cocktails; fine wines and spirits; and an enormous beer selection. We are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 9am-9pm daily. Aside from the bar and restaurant, TVM operates as a convenience store, a package liquor store, a catering service, and a commercial bakery.
