You are: A competent, outgoing and warm person who loves to get vibe checks with your people daily and is the first to jump up and grab a towel when something gets spilled. Quality of service, food and beverage are important to you, you are a communicator and you thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
We are: 3 women now/again living in Santa Fe, with a love for the far away places we’ve lived and traveled. We have a desire to bring pieces of our travels back here to our beloved community; we seek out great food, coffee, natural wine and a beautiful pantry. Job description
DAILY:
Build a bridge of communication with the staff and Owners
Nurture a positive working environment with all team members
Ensure the interior and exterior spaces are clean, organized and all local Health and Safety regulations are being followed by all staff
Work with the Chef to foster communication between the Back of House and Front of House teams
Deliver superior guest service; train, oversee the FOH staff to do the same
Respond professionally and efficiently to customer questions and complaints
Ensure all menus are up to date and printed prior to meal periods
Update menus online
WEEKLY:
Organize the shift schedule for the FOH team
Estimate consumption and maintain weekly inventory of wine, beer and cold beverages; ensure prices and inventory are current and correct in the POS
Work with the Retail Lead to ensure pantry items are on order and up to date in the POS
Work with the Barista/Morning Lead to ensure all supplies for hot drinks are on order
Conduct inventory and order all FOH supplies needed for operations: to-go packaging, paper goods, bathroom supplies, etc.
Assist Owners with light bookkeeping for Paid & Unpaid invoices
Meet with Owner(s) to discuss goings on
BI-WEEKLY:
Oversee, run payroll every other week and assist Owners with any additional related payroll documentation, i.e paid sick leave, physical checks, W-2s & 9s, child support payment, etc.
AS NEEDED:
Assist in hiring new employees
Train all new employees and provide feedback on their performance
Assist in planning staff meetings and specials events at La Mama
Update the FOH wine book when new bottles are ordered
